Star Song perked up slightly, glad she hadn't been too much of a disturbance. "Ah, in that case, do you want to talk about it?" The sentence was out before she had time to consider it. Perhaps that was coming on a little stronger than necessary for an acquaintance. She corrected her mistake. "Ah, sorry, don't mean to pry if not. I shouldn't put you on the spot like that."

"No, it's ok... Maybe talking about it would help." Skye said, rubbing her eyes.

"Would you like to go outside then?" Star Song asked. "I'm a little worried if we stand out in the hall talking much longer we'll actually wake someone up." She tried to stretch her wings a little as she rocked on her hooves, aware of the aches getting worse. When was the last time she had flown that much? Had she ever?

Skye nodded and walked towards the lobby, finding a door to the outside, she went out onto the grass and lay down on the soft ground, staring up at the stars.

Star Song followed Skye, laying down next to her on the ground, following her gaze up to the stars. It reminded her of her family and, more specifically, her brother. Her gaze fell and she turned her head towards Skye. "So, what is weighing on your mind tonight?"

"It's my brother..." Skye said. "I lost him five years ago..." She added, staring blankly at the night sky. "He died in an accident during training excercise for the Wonderbolts..."

Star Song's breath caught in her throat suddenly, shocked to hear Skye talk of her own brother's passing. "I'm sorry to hear that." She was silent for a moment, composing herself. "I lost my brother and brother-in-law three years ago when they were attacked on their travels..." She paused, lowering her head enough to rest it on the ground. "Seems like we have something in common, ha." Despite the quiet forced laugh and trying to lighten her tone, it was obvious she was trying to bury the sadness and grief even now.

Skye stayed silent for a moment, her eyes trained on the stars. "My brother was an adventurous athlete... Always trying to better himself... But that got him killed.... He tried to perform a stunt too advanced for his level of skill.... It didn't go well.."
