"'Counting the stars, but never finding the one that matters most.'" Aquila whispered, her eyes flickering to the mare as she moved around to the other side of the bed. "Good night, Skye."

Skye looked down to her hooves, crying softly before drifting off to sleep on the small bed, her night filled with vivid dreams of her brother among the stars.

Star Song wasn't sure when exactly she had gotten separated from her family, but it was hardly a surprise. She had a terrible habit of becoming distracted and getting lost in her own world, and she had told them long ago to carry on without her, as she always caught up. She stretched her wings out and got a running start, propelling herself into the air and began flying, knowing her wings could carry her on the wind faster than her legs could carry her on the road. The sun set during her journey and she landed in the capital, glad to give her aching wings a rest. She looked around wearily, finally seeing an inn. She could always find Aquila and Dista in the morning, Dista would likely already be asleep. She walked into the Shooting Star Lodge and Inn, getting herself a room. "Oh, I don't suppose you saw a batpony with a unicorn filly here earlier?" The pegasus asked the earth pony clerk. "They're my family and I'm trying to find them."
The clerk stared at her for a moment, somewhat confused as to how exactly that worked out before shaking her head slightly to focus on her reply. "Ah, yes. They checked in some time ago. They got a room with a pegasus, I believe." The clerk also gave her the room number and Star Song thanked her as she walked up to her room. Luckily, she noticed, it was right next to Aquila's.

Skye flicked her ears, hearing voices outside. She climbed out of her bed and rubbed her eyes, her large wings dragging along the floor as she made her way into the hall. "Huh...?"

[Blaisism]

Star Song saw a pegasus come out of the room she knew her sister-in-law and niece were currently in and gave a tired smile to the pegasus. "Ah, sorry. Didn't mean to wake anyone. You must be the one rooming with my sister-in-law Aquila. My name is Star Song." She introduced herself quietly, her voice barely above a whisper.

[<Terminal March>]

"Hi..." Skye said, folding her expansive wings to her sides. "I'm Skye... Aquila's new friend." She stated with a weak smile. "She helped me out when I got lost in this time period."

[Blaisism]

Star Song tilted her head to one side slightly at the phrase "this time period" but didn't question, shrugging it off rather quickly and her look of confusion melting back into a smile. "That sounds like her, I've never known her to turn away anyone who needs help. It is nice to meet you." She noticed that Skye looked exhausted and remembered her own long trip. "Ah, but I woke you, didn't I? We can get to know each other better in the morning, if you'd like."

Skye smiled softly. "You didn't wake me.." She said. "I couldn't get to sleep anyways... Too much on my mind."
