What do you mean? How is it unrealistic? He is a tortoiseshell Tom, which I know is rare, but I made him blind. I don't see anything wrong with that)

Patchkit wailed, irritated that no matter how hard he tried, he still couldn't see anything. Not even a bit of light.

Crystalstar looked back at Miva and nodded. "He's blind," she confirmed softly.

She lowered her ears then turned her head to the kit. She rubbed her head with Patchkit's one for a few seconds, commiserating. 'What can a blind cat do in a clan?'... She tought. 'Will they kill the kit?... No, they aren't so mean... If they were, they killed me but I'm still alive. She sat, looking to Ivyshine and the five kits.

Bearkit felt a pang in his heart, but didnt know why. He opened his golden eyes again, seeing his brother cry. He slolwy pushed his body over to him. He snuggled beside him, licking his little face of tears.

Patchkit felt something licking his tears away and smelled his brother. He pressed closer to him, his small body shaking. He felt another cat writhing around him, and he smelt a starry scent. "Patchkit," a voice meowed, "I am dearly sorry. You are blind, like me. You have a great destiny ahead of you, though. Choose your path wisely." He turned his head, and realized that he could see. He couldn't see anything but a grey tabby cat sitting beside him. The tabby was a large, sleek Tom with bright blue eyes. After looking a bit more, he could see that this Tom was blind. "My name is Jayfeather. I was medicine cat of the legendary Thunderclan long ago. Look, Patchkit. See who you are for yourself," the Tom waved his tail over the ground and a puddle formed. Patchkit looked in the puddle and saw his reflection. He saw what he looked like: a small tortoiseshell tom with Amber eyes. But, in his very own eyes, he shared something with Jayfeather. "Listen, Patchkit. You are a kit, but no ordinary kit. You are kin of the great Firestar. You are my kin as well. I will guide you, my son." Then all went black again, and he could now hear everything that was going on once more. He trembled, thinking of Jayfeather.

Crystalstar lowered her head and looked at Miva. "He may have no chance of becoming a warrior," she whispered. "But that doesn't mean that we will not protect and care for him."

Miva nodded, looking to Crystalstar. "I'm sure we'll do... looking at the good side, at least... he's special". She whispered. "Should we tell him?". She whispered again. She imagined how hard should be if someone tells you 'you are blind, sorry'. She stood up, looking to the kits.

Crystalstar shook her head. "It would be easier on him if his mother-" she was cut off by Patchkit's wail.

Patchkit shook his coat out. "I'm blind!" He wailed, his Amber eyes spilling tears all over again.

Ivyshine gasped and scooped up her kit. She groomed the tears away from his face and looked closely at his eyes. He was, in fact, blind. She looked up, her eyes questioning. "How did he know?"

(Just that blind cats are rare, tortoiseshell males are much, much rarer, and it's also rare for a blind cat to have amber eyes. Altogether, the chance of Patchkit existing is infinitesimal. Anyway.)

(Animals, like humans, have chances of unfortune ilnesses, diseases, and birth defects. It is possible no matter the standing. its not like the kit has wings. end of story.)

(I'm well aware of this. The chances are something like 1 in 3000, and the cat has an extra X chromosome. This means that 99% of the time the cat is sterile. It's possible for him to be both blind and tortoiseshell, merely ridiculously unlikely. I'm fine with this, I was merely making a casual observation.)
