Ashpaw blinked. "StarClan have not turned from us. They would never do that!" she protested, though she quieted down after a moment.

TIgerfang blinked. "There could be, if we can win everyone over. This might need an incredible amount of tact and being sneaky, but it's doable."

Hammerpaw nodded. "I'll do whatever I have too," he meowed dutifuly.

Tigerfang smiled slightly. "I like your determination. Your first loyalty should be to the cats you plan to rule- speak out for them, make them like your ideas better than the ones our current deputy and leader have. Start with ideas the apprentices would like, just suggestions. I'll be working on the warriors Don't talk about going against Rabbitstar just yet, or you'll lose any chance of earning their loyalty."

Hawkbreeze took a shallow, rasping breath. "I-I have this ability. StarClan, well, you see, StarClan cats sometimes come day here to watch over us more closely or be closer to their old home, even though no cat can see them. Well, I can. I swear, it isn't the sickness. I've been able to do it all my life. Lately, though, since I've gotten sick, they haven't been around."

"How do you know it isn't sickness? How can you be sure?" Ashpaw asked. "Maybe they just want you to rest?" she suggested as they padded into camp.

Hawkbreeze huffed. "Yes, that's it." She mewed, going to her den and plopping down in her nest. "Get me some feverfew and chamomile, please." She asked her apprentice.

Ashpaw nodded, trotting into the back and fetching the stored herbs. She got out a single serving of each and went back to Hawkbreeze to give her the medicines. "I'll make sure to stay clean." She promised. "In case others get sick too, so I can help them."
