Hawkbreeze opened her multicolored eyes, shaking a few dried, dead leaves from her pelt. Kneading the ground a few times, she exited her den, veering towards the fresh-kill pile. Grabbing a scrawny brown feathered bird, the off-white she-cat padded a few paw-steps away to eat.

Leaving her den, Rabbitstar stretched her legs, grabbed a mouse and went to ask Hawkbreeze about plans for the day. "Hello, Hawkbreeze!" She greeted. "What ideas do you have for hunting patrols? Your places tend to be lucky, and I bet it's nice to help out hunting cats, even though you can't hunt yourself" Rabbitstar looked around. "By the way, where is Owlwhisker? I wanted to ask him about other patrols and the new apprentices."
