I think it would be good if every day, a moon went past. Otherwise, the kits will not age and poor little Weasel will be stuck with them forever. Maybe you can choose when your cat ages? And if it is a litter of kits, the 'creator' of the litter chooses but when they are apprenticed they can be aged seperatley?

Cinderfang looked around camp to see if a patrol or something were leaving, or if a cat was doing nothing, since she hadn't done anything all day. She noticed that her son, Thistlepaw, was doing nothing as well.
