Jackalstar chuckled quietly. "Don't be sorry." She said. "Your honesty is enough to put me at rest. I trust you were careful... " She trailed off... then after a moment of consideration added. "Take someone with you next time; I know you're a talented young apprentice but there are dangers out there even our warriors can't handle alone."
She continued along, heading north-west and towards the falls. They were still a long distance from that location, and the she-cat came to a stop at the peak of a small ridge. From it, much of the territory could be seen -- She nodded out over the view, indicating the hunting patrol to her companions. She could hear the crack of a snapping branch even from the distance and her ears twitched slightly. She noted a flock of birds taking flight from the same area and once more she laughed a bit.
"Now... before we do any of this drab fixing nonsense... " She began, turning to face the other cats. "We're going to do a little hunting ourselves... though we won't be looking for prey... we'll be hunting warriors." Now her gaze rested on Ashfeather briefly, smiling slightly. She wondered if the other warrior would be keen enough to decipher what she was up to...
