The she-cat kept a stern look ahead. She knew that Thornheart didn't want to be mates with her.

Littlewing quietly nibbled on a mouse in camp.

Oakstar nodded, leaving the den to fetch something for Featherleaf. He trotted to the fresh kill pile, picking a plump mouse. He returned to the nurserh and lay it in front of his mate. "I'll leave you to rest," he said as he gently licked her forehead again. He then left the den and took a seat outside. He dipped his head to Littlewing as he noticed her eating a mouse.

Thornheart let out a yawn. He shook his head to try and wake himself up a little. He shuffled his paws to get into a more comfortable position as he glanced over at Fernbreeze. Tonight would give him a lot of time to think. Thornheart let out as he looked straight ahead, staring at an unmoving leaf.

Mudpelt shook his head. "It doesn't matter," he mewed licking her forehead with a smile. She moved to lay down beside Roseclaw and the kits.

Roseclaw sighed and lay by Rainkit. "Mudpelt, it does. I'm a mother now. And you're a father. We take responsibility of these." the she-cat explained with a purr. With her soft muzzle and nose, she gently nudged them towards their father.

Mudpelt shook his head. "She'll can still be a warrior." He defended. He would help her become a great warrior. "Oneclaw has managed fine with only one ear. She will be fine." He said softly before gently licking each of their kits.

Roseclaw nodded in agreement. "Why don't you go mentor Amberkit-Amberpaw for a bit? Sorry, I'm just so used to Amberkit. I'll help the kits settle in." she said firmly. She picked two kits by the scruff, Owlkit and Rainkit, and then placed them as they widly mewed in her den. She went back for Cloudkit and Riverkit, nuzzling River's head gently. She shuffled Cloudkit with her paws back to her den again. Rose sat at the entrance, protecting if there was any danger.

The she-cat purred and nodded as she started to eat her mouse. She thought about the kits and purred.

The tom watched his sister and Thornheart. They looked miserable. He walked towards the nursery and peaked in. "Did I heard something about a deaf kit"?

Littlewing dipped her head toward the leader out of respect. The camp was nearly silent, and her ears pricked at the muffled murmuring coming from the nursery. She just couldn't make out what they were saying.

The she-cat purred and nodded as she started to eat her mouse. She thought about the kits and purred.

The tom watched his sister and Thornheart. They looked miserable. He walked towards the nursery and peaked in. "Did I heard something about a deaf kit"?

Roseclaw sighed and turned to Oneclaw. "Well, this kit right here, Rainkit, only has an ear. She partially deaf- so you two could be friends. Play carefully though, she's only a newborn."

Mudpelt nodded. He nuzzled Roseclaw before padding to the entrance to the den, "I'll come back later," he purred as he left. Once he left the den, he was shocked to see how low the sun was. It was too late to take Amberpaw training, so he would take her out on the morning. He padded to the apprenice den, poking his head in. "Amberpaw," he whispered into the darkness.

Oakstar smiled at the young warrior. "How are you?" He asked politely as he rose to his paws to join the she cat. He took a vole from the pile before sitting beside Littlewing and beginning to eat his meal.
