"Maybe one day," Lightningfoot gave a light shrug.

Skypaw was sitting on her fence, doning a new pink collar with a small silver bell. She tipped her head as the cat collapsed at the border. "Excuse me, good sir, are you okay?"

Stoneleap had no respond for Skypaw, but he did hear her every word. He felt so trapped, like he was in a suit of iron and gold, his lips unable to move and form words.

A low hum escaped his shut, clenched maw as he forced all that coursed through him to make a light, barely audible sound. just one sound to signal as well as he could, that he needed help, that he was badly suffering from a harsh, but horribly slow death. It was torture to not be able to move, but feel all around the pain that was in you. Eating you alive.

Foxkit sat just outside the nursery. He flicked his tail with interest as the newcomer padded long side the deputy.

Milkflower smiled, as if to say "It's alright." But her smile soon vanished when she thought of Skypaw. She had so much potential. I shall miss her, though she didn't stay with us long.

"Oh, yeah, you do have a point there." Amberflame hummed thoughtfully. "But you know, she isn't the first AshClan cat to have 'Ash' in their name. Remember Ashheart? And..." She paused. "Well, he's the only one I can remember off the top of my head, but nobody seemed to care much about his name. Anyway, like I said, who knows? Maybe Timberstar will change her name or something. Either way, I wouldn't worry. I'm sure everything'll work out, one way or another."

"Maybe one day. Here we are." Lightningfoot stopped outside of the apprentices' den. "It'll just be you and Cloudpaw. You can take Skypaw's nest. I'll send someone to change the moss later."

"Oh StarClan!" Skypaw gasped, then sighed with relief. He wasn't dead, at least. "You, er, wait here!" she raced back to her Twoleg den, mewing and scratching at the door.
