Purring with joy, the young tom quickly padded over to the fresh kill pile and picked up a sparrow, closing his eyes at the lovely aroma. Settling down outside the apprentice den, he began taking mouthfuls of the bird, gulping down the meat and spitting out the feathers, his eyes flashing with excitement.

"Yes Goldenheart, what was it you wanted to talk about?Whisperstar asked Goldenheart then yawned.Goldenheart felt his tail twitch with regret, had he just woken up his leader.He shook his head once then looked back at Whisperstar."I'm assesing Oakpaw today as I believe he is ready to become a warrior." Goldenheart said in a firm tone then waited for Whisperstar to reply."Very well, at sundown Oakpaw will receive his warrior name." Whisperstar said with another yawn.Goldenheart dipped his head to his leader then excited the den.
