Hawkfeather winced as Moonpaw accidently bumped into him, but he continued, "You should.... have.. Frostheart.. is having... my kits." Tears filled his eyes as he gulped ignoring everyone else around him.. except Smallpoppy. "I love you... but... I... made a mistake.. I cant get you out of my head.. I ruined everything... " coughing Hawkfeather tried to sit up but a sharp pain in his side forbaed that, "Tigerstar.... said hell kill... my mate.. i dont ....want him to kill anymore cats.. I wont let him....even if it meams this everytime.." looking at Smallpoppy with his scared eye Hawkfeather pleaded, "Please... still let me protect you... even if im the biggest mousebrain on the face of the earth... please.. Your the only cat that I love." His voice started going to a whisper as he started to drift off again, and Hawkfrost hissed, "Hawkfeather you mouse dunged fool get up! Your scaring everyone! Your stronger than that dont let Tigersrar win!" He had tears in his eyes.. even for a heartless killer he was trying to be good.. Ivypool licked his cheek and padded close to her son, "I told you its not your time.. your father is right dont let him win.. if you expect to protect this she cat, you need to fight through it Hawkfeather." Fight? Why was everyone telling him to fight when he just wanted to sleep... the darkness felt soft and inviting.. it wanted him to stay

He softly chuckled at Stoneheart and meowed, "See... I was right" blinking a little longer hen he was supposed to Hawkfeather recalled the day Hiddenmoon came to camp and he teased Stoneheart about her. Then he meowed to Swiftstar.. "Im.. sorry I wasnt the... best deputy." Hawkfeather winced again, Moonpaw was touching his nose to his side, "A few bones are broken but it doesnt seem to bad.. not like being run over by a monster. But Smallpoppy, itll take awhile for these to heal on their own." Hawkfeather meowed, "Your growing up Moonpaw.. soon youll have your name after all." Moonlaw teared uo, "Shut up old mouse brain, your not dying here!" Hawkfeather chuckled and closed his eyes again breathing slightly calmer

She licked him roughly on Hawkfeather's forehead while Swiftstar sat stone faced as she watched what was happening

His eyes widened and meowed, "Someone in Star Clan really saved your life there Hawkfeather." But he wasnt prelared for the answer the deputy gave, "Hawkfrost..... saved me"
