Night heart glanced at Songstar and his heart grew heavy. He tried to ignore her and help the clan mates, doing his best not to look or make eye contact.

Streamtail winced as the world came into focus. "Ow, my head. Owch, oh, StarClan that hurts." His sister came around the corner, smiling sheepishly. "Ah, the marigold must be working. Now I need to go check the battle scene..." She raced out of her den, but when she arrived, she couldn't believe her eyes. "STARCLAN?" That was all she was able to say when a bear paw knocked her over. Still, when she got up, she was speechless. "..."

Songstar noticed Nightheart giving her awkward glances, and wondered what the spirit tom was thinking. Her thoughts were abrupty cut off when the cub came charging past them, bearing so many wounds it may have died from blood loss.
"EmberClan! Back to camp!" She yowled.
Songstar turned around, and with a sad smile, mewed: "Goodbye StarClan, you will always remain our Clanmates."
She ran back to camp, her heart heavy with grief and yet as light as a feather at being able to see her old Clanmates again.
"And may Flaregaze run with you."

Scorchstar blinked, turning to Nightheart. "Flaregaze?" He murmured, "We have yet to see her."
Then with a sweep of his tail, the StarClan cats began to fade away, their last remnants starry glows that looked like fireflies.
"Goodbye, EmberClan! We will always watch your steps!" He mewed.
(Sappy goodbyes.) :'))

"Thornkit!" Larkpaw called. "Say hello to mom and Thicketkit for me!"
"Will do, sister." Larkpaw smiled sadly as she imagined him winking, but only his voice remained. "Good-bye..."

Songstar came in through the battered camp entrance, ducking to avoid getting swatted in the face.
"Great StarClan!" She exclaimed, "What happened here?"
Not only was the entrance and barrier falling apart, but the dens were a mess, and the nursery had caved in. Two faint bodies could be seen, they weren't moving. Songstar sucked in a gasp and turned around. Her den was fine, but the medicine cat's den was overcrowding. "Cloverleaf! Move some of the injured cats here! Tell me a bit about treating cats and I can help you," she meowed.

Birdwing padded out, bumping noses with her friend. "A bear came in," she explained, "I know a bit about herbs, I can manage the injured cats." The tabby went back into the den, supporting a barely conscious Streamtail and guiding him to the leader's den.

Hawkpaw watched as the cats flew away. He saw a few spirits join the starry figures. "Goodbye!" he called after them.

"Hawkpaw!" Songstar meowed sharply, "Stop gaping like a doormouse and come and help out!"
"Hush, Songstar," Birdwing murmured gently, "this battle was quite a shock for even the most experienced warriors."

Night heart was one of the last to leave, he was reluctant, but when a spirit elder gave him a yowl, he followed. Glancing back at his former clan, a starry tear fell from his starry pelt
