I V Y F E A T H E R

I dragged myself through the forest, sharp pains wracking my chest with each step. I was sure one of my ribs was broken. As I heaved my body through the camp entrance, I was met with startled screams coming from the nursery, and the air was tinged with the scent of blood. I was getting somewhat used to the pain in my side, and hauled my paws across the clearing in record speed. What was happening in the nursery?

Cloudkit stared at the new cat in fear. "Mama, this new she-cat is scary!!" he squeaked, burying himself under Squirrelfeather's fluffy tail.

Robin bared her teeth at the kit and its mother. "No I'm not."

Squirrelfeather hissed. "You're scaring my kits. LEAVE."
