The tom nodded with a small purr. "I'll try not to. I truly can't wait to see who will become deputy." He meowed with a twitch of his tail. "Thank you, Leopardheart. You are as well, blind or not, you are a wonderful warrior and should see yourself as such" He meowed with warm smile.

Tallstep nodded happily and meowed. "You are as well, I'm glad we're friends Leopardheart" He meowed quietly.

Tallstep twitched his ears some, glancing around the camp quietly. "Hm, I should check on Mousepaw, I haven't seen him in awhile, and last time I saw him he was covered in thistle" The tom sighed faintly, glancing at the apprentice's den, then the entrance of camp.

Tallstep lifted himself from the ground and headed toward the apprentice's den, only to get ran into by the young bi-color cat. "Mousepaw, what have you been doing?" He muttered, seeing the apprentice's scratched face.

Mouse turned with a light groan. "I was, I.. I can never think of excuses" He grumbled. "I was trying to throw that failure of a messenger back to the city where he belongs" Mousepaw grumbled, glancing at the camp entrance with a small glare.

Zhalkiy slowly peeked inside the camp, looking around with great fascination in his eyes. "Da, this is the place I saw earlier, I didn't look around much though, this is cool indeed" He chirped to himself, glancing about the area.

Rosestar sat upon the high-rock, watching the darkening sky. She knew she had to choose who the next deputy should be, but who? She looked down and looked from warrior to warrior, seeing which one she trusted most, but also who the clan liked. Rosestar knew a lot of the cats liked Tallstep, but her brother Thornfur was much more loyal. And there were other cats on the list, too. Rosestar sighed, and thought she'd just have to choose now. "May all cats old enough to catch their own prey join here beneath the high-rock," she called out.

Sparrowkit giggled faintly and meowed. "Yeah, the sky is really cool. It's fascinating during storms, pretty during clear skies. I love it" He chimed, staring up at the sky happily. "I wonder why I was named Sparrowkit.. I don't look much like a sparrow.." He thought, staring at the sky quietly. (Nya, cya Amnesia)

"I know right!" He agreed happily and glanced over at SparrowKit "hmmm maybe a sparrow flew above you after you were born or or a bunch of sparrows could have been near by" he said and began thinking of how SparrowKit could have gotten the name. He than turned his attention back to the sky and smiled.

Flamepelt pads out of the nursery, knowing that this is when Rosestar will choose the new deputy. If only she hadn't fallen in love with Whiskers then she wouldn't have kits and she would be a candidate for deputy. Looking up at Rosetar, she saw her eying Tallstep, Not Tallstep? Surely she hadn't forgotten how he'd killed a cat? A member of the clan at that!. Curious and slightly annoyed she pulled Berrykit beside her, beckoning Sparrowkit to follow.

Purpleflower hears Rosestar calling for a Clan meeting and gathers her kits together. "Dapplekit, Flowerkit," she explained. "Rosestar has something to say to the Clan. Lets pay close attention for anything Rosestar says is important."

Flowerkit nods obediently. "Okay Purpleflower." she answered. She sits beside her sister close to her mother near the nursery and listens to what Rosestar has to say.

Dapplekit squealed with delight, and peeked outside to the high-rock. She knew she couldn't go out there, but she wanted to so badly. "Purpleflower, I want to go out there, it looks fun!" she squeaked impatiently.

Thornfur smiled at Dapplekit, and nudged her gently. "In six moons you'll be able to go out there," he said reassuringly to the impatient kit. "But I wanna go now!" Dapplekit replied with a short glance to the entrance of the nursery.

Frostpaw looked up at Bramblepaw. "Looks like Rosestar's choosing the new deputy, let's go," she meowed, padding off to the high-rock. Inside, she was excited to see who would get the title as deputy, but she hid it inside so no one thought she was weird.

Rosestar waited for all of the cats to come, and sat down on the high-rock impatiently. She wanted this over with, since she had some things to take care of. She remembered how she hadn't set out a patrol in a while, and had a bunch of thoughts swirling around in her head. She needed to do what a leader did, but just had to wait she guessed with sadness.
