Echofall thought of her mother and father. she tried to stop herself by shaking her head and trying to shake the thoughts out, but it wouldn't work. She tried not to cry, but the tears rolled out and she wiped them away with her paw, remembering her mother's saying. when the teardrops fall, just pick them back up and be strong. You can get though it, my little kit. all that did though, was make her sadder and more and more tears came out. She hid, not wanting to be seen like this because of the strong, brave, bulletproof image she had put on. Her parents were the only thing that could make her shell crack and the waterworks come out of hiding. She knew they were never coming back, and she hadn't gotten any dreams with them in them. all she had was a few straws from their nests, her mom's sayings, a little bit of her mother and father's fur, and her father's comforting words in her mind. breathe. just breathe, keep it together, remember what dad said, he will always be there she thought. but here's the thing, she knew he wasn't really there. sure his starclan presence may be right next to her, but he wasn't really there. he could never wipe away her tears with his paws, and her mother could never tell her one of her sayings and put her paw around her, making the world seem like an ok place to be. Echofall hadn't found anyone she could tell her feelings to. simply because she didn't want a mate to break her heart, or a backstabbing friend. although she might cave in to the right cat opening up to her, and crawl out of her shell, come out of hiding. she honestly doubted it. she thought she was an ugly cat (even though she was quite pretty) that no cat else enjoyed being around, and she hoped and prayed that wasn't what others thought of her. Echofall by now just couldn't stop the tears. they just kept coming and coming. she couldn't stop them, she was powerless to her emotions.
(I just basically gave a lil personality and backstory on Echo lol)
