Brook Drying In The Sun "First, you gotta trust me. Now for the real first, you're gonna have to step into the water, that comes up to your legs." I purred as I guided Claw into the water.
Brook Drying In The Sun "Now you're gonna have to let the water carry you, but I'll hold onto you if you want me to." My paws started to drift as I slowly swam in place, but kept close to Claw.
Claw followed her and started to padded his paws. Then, his paw hit a pebble and started to panic, splashing quite ungracefully and his head starting to go under.
Brook Drying In The Sun My eyes widened as I went under Claw and grabbed his chest with my head, pushing him up to the surface. I rushed to the ground and held him down on the ground. I brushed his muzzle and laid my head against his chest. "Claw, speak to me." I meowed worriedly, and I started to breath uneasy.
Claw twitched, then coughed up a lot of lake water. His eye flickered and open and he looked at her. "That was... interesting, but next time, I'll try to not drown.", his meow gurgled and his eyes were unfocused again, but he was breathing, even if it was ragged.
Brook Drying In The Sun I sat back and tried not to cry. "I thought I was gonna loose you, my goodness." I heaved and I pocked up his head, inspecting him. "You seem okay, wanna go back?" I got up and shook off my emotions, making myself look emotionless. I didn't want Claw to see me as a weak she-cat.
Claw nodded and gave a shiver as his thick pelt was heavily sodden and got to his paws. "Okay, I can go.", he couldn't wait to go and tell everybody he drowned. (Sarcastic Alert)
Brook Drying In The Sun "Let's go, then," I mumbled and I padded back, but slowly, my eyes narrowed. I felt like a failure and I pinned my ears back, "I'm sorry." I mewed, and stopped in my tracks. I then broke down and cried.
