Flowerstar breathed heavily as she sat up. She said in a whisper, "I know why I killed my father."

Goldenclaw was blushing. "Err, what?"

Ashstrike's eyes softened, "tell me." He whispered, wrapping his tail around her.

Cinderstep hid her blush, blinking. "You okay,? You gave me kind of a fright!"

[Kaidaft]

Flowerstar
"My father, maybe you heard of him, Adderclaw. He was a killer. When I was born, he took me to be like him. He controlled me, hurt me hen I failed him." Her breathing smoothed out.
"I finally snapped one day."
" I had enough of the torture and I took care of my lifelong burden."

Goldenclaw
"Heh, I actually gave myself a bit of a fright..."
He smiled weakly.
"I-I'm sorry, I mean. Yeah."

Ashstrike let out a small breath, as he heard her reasoning. "Thats... awful." he whispered, "and I can see why you killed him." He thought for a minute, trying to think of what to say, so he wouldn't offend her. "You're amazing."

Cinderstep let out a small, airy laugh, quiet enough so it wouldn't wake any other cat. "W-well, I can't really sleep anymore. Want to come on a walk with me?"

[Kaidaft]

Flowerstar
She looked to him with surprise.
"How so?"

He nodded and got up on his feet.
"I am- err, nevermin."

He looked into her eyes, dead serious. "You took control of your own life, no matter how you had to do it." Ashstrike replied, flicking his tail. "It takes so much bravery, even if you don't reconize it as bravery- to fix your life like that, it's just... Amazing."

Cinderstep

"Ah alright." she replied, pushing herself to her feet. Her fur was a bit suffled on the back of her neck, and she tried to reach it, but couldn't. With an annoyed sigh, she began to walk out with him.

"I had done it after I was made deputy. If I was to help my leader. I had to stop making the clan smaller."

Goldenclaw
"You need help?" He said, seeing her try to reach the scruff.

Ashstrike nodded, taking in every word, tryin to understand her more. "Still though, that's amazing. So much courage." He meowed.
"But I can understand now, how things are hard for you."

Cinderstep

"Y-yes please!" Cinderstep replied, her ears getting a bit hot, as she looked to the ground. She must look like a fool, not being able to clean herself. But still, she was grateful for his help, and sat still.

He licked the scruff that she couldn't reach.
"Don't worry, lots of cats I know can't reach this spot."

Flowerstar
She looked down.
"I have had a hard life, but sometimes, I think Stormstar made a mistake. I feel like Rootfur shouldn't have died."
