Sonic the Hedgehog: Return of the Werehog (Open)

Maya took pause at that. Sure, she could decline to help and be on her way, but that could mean missing out on something worthwhile. "The Water Elemental, you say? Well, we can't have that! I'd be happy to lend you my aid. Lead the way."

"This way." E.J. swung off. He always made use of the abilities each of his various forms gave him, stretchy arms and enhanced strength with the Werehog, super speed with the Hedgehog, flight and various skills with all the different slugs, and flight and enhanced super speed with Super Spike(E.J.'s Super Form)

Maya ran behind him on foot; while she may not have had much in the way of abilities here, but she did have the knowledge to use the terrain to her advantage. She was able to keep up well enough.

[Storm the Buizel]

E.J. passed through Quiet Lawn, coming to Undertow near dawn, only to find it Ghouled. "He got the Water Elemental too. I can feel it."

Maya could definitly detect a change in the energy in this area from the others, although she couldn't make any sense of it. It was enough for her to believe E.J., just the same. "So we're too late to stop it... Can we at least reverse it, somehow?"

[Storm the Buizel]

"Of course. We need to use a Boon Doc to cure the Elementals, thus curing all slugs with the same or a relating Element to each Elemental. If all five are Ghouled, then SlugTerra is doomed." E.J. could sense the Goon approaching.

There were still plenty of gaps in Maya's knowledge of this world, but she knew enough to get the gist of what E.J. was saying. She had learned some time ago that asking too many questions was a great way to draw unwanted attention to yourself, so instead she played along.

"So the first step is going to be actually finding the Water Elemental while we have the chance."

He could see the Goon heading away from Undertow Sea. That sorry excuse for a slug already has it. Best we pilfer the Air and Water Elementals from him, then I can use One-Eye to cure them once we get into a normal Cavern and I become a Hedgehog again." he realized too late he'd blurted out something Maya didn't know.

There was a lot of information packed into what E.J. had said. Maya decided it was better to focus on the important part. "We're on a timer then. Let's get after him." She could ask questions later. Probably. She would see.

E.J. let out a howl before jumping down. "Causin' trouble again eh?" he sneered upon landing. "I must say, I ought to thank yo for that Ghoul Energy 'ya trapped inside me, it's allowed me to do stuff like this!" He flung a long-distance punch, knocking the Goon's host slinger to the ground. "Pesky little Hedgehog!"
