Name: (Princess) Maya "The Proxy Queen" Loma
Gender: Female
Age: 16 physically, mental age is unknown.
Backstory: Maya is a reincarnation of a princess from another dimension. She has known this from the time she was old enough to comprehend it- there was never any amnesia or weird dreams, her memories are as clear as they would be if her previous life had never ended. In her previous life, The Proxy Queen had been a powerful witch, and when feeling threatened, she cast a spell using a vast quantity of magical energy that she had stored beneath her castle. This spell caused her to vanish from her world, but ensured she would live on by granting her 100 reincarnations across many different universes. Her final incarnation would be back on her world, but many generations later, when the truth of her situation may have been forgotten. During her current life, she was born into a simple family, and she ran away at a very young age. Her previous lives had given her wisdom beyond her years however, and she was able to get by without too much trouble.
Personality: Maya may not be a princess here, but she still feels the need to present herself very formally. She is overly polite to most people, and it takes some doing to get her comfortable enough to relax around others. She doesn't like attention being drawn to herself, and will not reveal her true identity except under exceptional circumstances. She is something of a thrill-seeker, although she is not very open about it. This means she will be drawn to unusual circumstances, even though she may act like her interest is in something other than the situation. She does not like anyone acting like they are superior to her, although she will try to hide her displeasure. Her success in this varies.
Abilities: Maya is exceedingly well-versed in magic from her own world, and this translates to a basic grasp of the nature of magic in this world. She cannot use any spells at this point, but she is capable of learning them with relative ease if given the chance. She can also sometimes detect sources of magic or people who are very in tune with magic. However, that ability only works if the magic is similar in some way to magic found in her home dimension. She can also tell when an entity named "Blackbird" is around. This doesn't happen often, but when it does, it causes Maya extreme agitation.

E.J. paused on a mushroom(they're in SlugTerra, and a majority of the vegetation there is ginormous mushrooms of varying sizes and colors). "Comin'?"

Maya scowled at a mushroom that hadn't done anything in particular to wrong her, but that she felt deserved a scowl anyway. The mushroom did not respond. She had gotten good and lost, and felt that it meant that the universe was clearly punishing her, personally. With a cave. It was plausible. She was about to express her displeasure toward the mushroom in a way that was rather more rude when she spotted the figure swinging above. She quickly regained her composure and called out.

"Excuse me! You up there! Could you perhaps help me out?"

E.J. jumped down, felling a little unnerved about his Werehog appearance.

Maya was no stranger to unusual looking people- in fact, she was no longer very good at telling what counted as 'strange.' Since this guy had reacted to her without seeming especially aggressive, she assumed he was capable of understanding, which was good enough for her.

"I seem to have gotten myself a little lost. Could you perhaps point me toward the nearest settlement?"

"We're not far from Quiet Lawn Cavern, when I was heading for Undertow Cavern."

Maya nodded politely. "Well, I would hate to keep you. Just point me in the right direction and I will be on my way."

"I could use a bit of help in my mission. Someone called the Goon is causing trouble. He's Ghouled the Air Elemental and is going for the Water Elemental, which is in Undertow." E.J. said.
