Zakari dremt he was back in his own home, in the forests of the northernland. The whole southern half of the forest knew him, the whole northern half hated him. The forest was well oginized there, there was a leader for the upper and lower of the forest, he just happened to be the leader, though he didn't act like it. The northern leader was a mountain lion named Messuret. She took her job seriously, and ruled with an iron fist. She had a small group of followers, that also found territory and all that learder stuff important. They were her soldiers. They gaurded the borders, and were extreemly hostile, if they found you anywhere near the border, you'd be as good as dead. They weren't to threatening, on account that half of them were bunnies. but the other half were hawks and falcons. The thing about the hawks, is that they would tresspass on Southern territory and eat any prey animal close enough to the border. One day, Zakari finnaly found out when his closest friend, Carrion went missing. She was a small rabbit kit. When he found out that the falcon gaurd, Acuro ate her, he went out to the borders and waited there, the gaurds threatned him, and he replied calmly, proving to be no threat. When it was Acuro's shift he broke his wings, talons, and beak. Acuro lived for 16 more monthes before dieing because of infection. He was the only bird on gaurd, the rabbits were helping him, and they wanted nowhere near Zakari. That isn't the reson the northern hated him though. He was an insult to all forest animals as they put it. He was a mockery, a fool. But in the southers eyes, he was strong, and daring, was having a sence of humor not permitted amongst the northern? As Messuret spoke against Zakari during the meeting, he just sat back and smiled. When she was finished, he said nothing to defend himself. "Aren't you going to do something?" The sountherns called out. "Like what? Disagree? I know the things she says are kind of harsh, but, some of it is true. Not that I am an insult, or a mockery of animals, but I am rather foolish don't you agree?" The southerens talked a bit, some shaking their heads, some giggling. "But whats so bad about having a little fun?" He nudged Mersuret, smiling. "That's it!" She roared, standing. "Is this all a joke to you!? Is life just a game!?" Zakari thought for a moment. "Yes." He said. The southerns stayed silent, laughter in their eyes as the northern outburst in anger and frustration. "Do you not know what it is to be a leader!?" She challenged. "I can't say I don't." He voice was calm all the while. "Your to soft! Anyone to fight you would surely win!" "Anyone to fight me is foolish and out of their mind." Messuret paused. "I challenge you to a duel." "Are you off your nut!?" Zakari laughed. "To the death." She growled. "I will not kill you." Zakari objected. "Oh, you won't be killing me, I will be the one doing to killing." "I'll take that bet." Zakari chirped, a mischeveous gleam in his eyes. The northern and southern gasped, backing up to make a ring for the two to fight in. Messuret stepped into the middle, followed by Zakari. "You can't get any help from your forest." She said. "Nor you." He growled. With that the fight began. Though Messuret was larger then him by a long shot, he had confidence that he would win. Messuret lunged forward, aiming for Zakari's throat. He jumped backwords, He blow missing him. He dove under her feet and grabbed her tail in his mouth, flipping back onto her back and running to her head to pull her over. She yowled in pain and her feet slipped beneth her. Zakari sat on her head, his big green eyes staring down at her. "Why you." She growled, standing. Zakari kept his balance. She flung him up in the air, watching and waiting to him to come back down so she could catch him in her jaws. The low hanging tree branched hit his head, he quickly snatched one in his jaws, and he dangled right abover her head. he let go and slid down her back, she whipped around with fury in her eyes, he smiled back. Zakari jolted awake, his vision blurry as his eyes ajusted to the dark of the cave.
Don't put the key to your happiness in someone else's pocket. You may think the grass is greener on the other side
but if you take the time to water your own grass it would be just as green.
Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself,
where the heck did the ceiling go?
