Sabertooth chuckled. Alright but first. I would like you to bring down two prey of your choosing. You may as well sharpen those hunting skills. Consider it a warm up for battle training and a benefit towards our clan. I will be observing you. He mewed and turned to claw his way up a tree.

She nodded to Sabertooth and set off. Scenting the air, she crouched down as she spotted a vole. She swiftly slammed into it and bit its neck. It was limp in her teeth and she remembered to thank StarClan for its life. She flicked her ears and sniffed the air again. This time, she spotted a squirrel. She crouched down and slid forward. She had accidently stepped on a leaf, and the squirrel bounded away, noticing her. She realized her mistake, and ran after it. Unfortunetly, it ran away, and she continued to search for some other squirrels.

ShadowSky nodded then pointed to a mouse with her tail.

CloudPaw nodded slightly and got down in the same position, facing the mouse. She crawled forward then when she was close enough she put weight into her back paws and leaped. She landed, her mouth around the small animals body. She bit down hard, killing her prey then stood up with pride and dug a hole near the tree she was by and buried it.

ShadowSky padded over. "Well, your hunting crouch and pounce is excellent so we dont need to practice on that. Here's a test. You must find five plump pieces of fresh kill and bring it to the clan. Remember, I'll be watching you so do your best." She told CloudPaw.

The she-cat nodded and sped off quickly.

ShadowSky smiled and climbed a tree. She leaped from one branch to another as fast as the apprentice was running and kept her eye on her.

Tawnystar flicked her ear, notcing the two small apprentices, Minnowpaw and Hollypaw, playing around. She smiled, padding over to them. "Hey, you two. Since you're already awake and.. seem active, why don't you do me a favor, after you eat." Tawnystar said quietly. She turned around, slowly making her way over to the fresh-kill pile.

Minnowpaw looked at her and tilted his head. Hollypaw smiled. "A favor, ey? What?" She purred and swished her tail.

"Yes." She replied quietly, padding into her den. She wondered what they we're thinking, the apprentices' probablly we're clueless about what she had just said.

She picked up a fresh scent of another squirrel. This time, she was careful to learn from her mistakes. She padded towards the scent and spotted her target. She tried to let the wind whisk her scent away so she could time her pounce. One, two, three... And GO! She pounced on it and gave it a swift bite, bringing it back to her vole. She waited silently for Sabertooth to judge.
