Chelsea slightly flinched, as her slender fingers traced across a few gashes in the scales. Slightly grimacing at the fact she was doing this to an unknown dragon, the girl peered over, and placed her hands on either side, stretching the biggest wound, as she moved the extra skin around.
They were pretty deep.. it wasn't a pitchfork -- though that would hurt just as equally. Frowning, as she placed her bloody fingers against her temple in thought. Knives.. ah, a dagger. Quickly reaching to her tool belt, and grabbing the bone handle of her dagger, it made a soft zing, from being pulled out of the scabbard so quickly. Her fingers were shaking, but she forced them to stop.. it wasn't like it was going to die. Yet, anyways.
Pushing it towards the scales, it wasn't an exact fit, but yes, it could have been a flimsy dagger, by the looks of it. Not the cleanest cut, but it was probably used quite a lot.
Shrugging, she pulled it back and shifted her Dagger in the hand, gripping it more firmly, as she glanced at the dragon. Ciar. I'm uh.. I'm gonna need some help over here. She murmured, and to the call, Ciar flicked his spiny tail, and sat close to the dragon, ready to pin him down if possible.
Pressing her shoulders back, she uttered a simple word. Brisingr. The silvery blade lit up -- the fire not large, but enough to keep it smoldering.
Running it through the snow to control some of the heat, she then faced the animal, and bent down on her knees, as she had two fingers, and closed the wound, before pressing the blade to the scales, as it gave a hiss.
Repeating it over, to the other wounds, she tossed her dagger aside, as it landed in the snow, cooling off, but emitting a great deal of steam.
Ailene sighed. It might have been early.. but there were things that could be done. Blaze.. wanna fly? Maybe we can stop and watch the sunrise. A loud grumble from beneath the balcony sounded, before a slow reply. I tell you -- you are quite mad. The red dragon grumbled, before standing up with a heave, and leaping onto the balcony, in what sounded like, a tremendous effort.
Now sitting on the balcony, she glanced in. What will we do with the mutt? Blaze muttered, flicking her tail. It stayed inside, while she was sleeping on the ground. Noticing the envy washing off of her, Ailene chuckled, and slid off the bed, before lacing her boots up. Just leave him. I want to fly with you. Ailene murmured, before hoisting herself up, as she thre her leg over the bareback of her saddle, and pressing against her dragon. Feels like forever, eh? Ailene questioned, and all she got was a quick nod from Blaze.
Standing at the edge, the red dragon flared her wings, and leaped off, beating them heavily for a few moments, as they grew higher into the sky. Grinning mischievously, Ailene murmured a few things to her, as she folded her wings to her sides, and dropped -- free falling, like it was nothing. Giving a large whoop of excitement, Ailene seemed to be clinging for her dear life, but she happened to be enjoying it. Just.. not thinking about falling.
Finally, Blaze flipped, and flared her wings, as they tore back up into the sky.
After an hour or two doing tricks, they had sailed, before finding a spot not too far from the castle. Slipping off of her, Ailene landed in the waist-high grass with a small thud. Jumping up and down a few times, trying to flatten the grass, she settled down, and crossed her long legs, and placed her hands behind her head. Either watching, sleeping, or perhaps both, was a mystery what she was doing in the field. Blaze lay down a few feet away from her, and rested her head on her paws.
