Ailene, couldn't do much. Stuck behind a rock, with.. elves surrounding her. She gave a grimace, and another arrow whipped past the top of the rocks. She wouldn't last long. What was there to do? Stay, and have them waste arrows?
That would take forever. Must have been five or so. Only one thought came to her. Face the consequences. Summoning up all of her patchy courage, Ailene breathed heavily. It might be her last.
Glancing out, there were piles of rocks, and she could perhaps roll behind them, before making it towards the archer.. snapping out of her thoughts, Ailene glanced around once more, before lunging forward, and rolling to speed it up. Diving, another arrow shot past, skimming over the top of her shoe, with another zing, until it planted into the ground. Looking at it with fear, she stared at the arrow, before scrambling, and pressing her back against the rock. Two more to go. Sucking in a breath, she rolled again. Safe.
And again. That one.. was risky. Shaking her head, Ailene braced herself to move again, and she did. In a swift run, she skidded towards the rocks, and there was the archer. Peering over with his bow. Ready to lash out with her sword, Ailene felt something slam into her head, and everything became black.
--
Her breathing was shallow, as Ailene slept, but she would continue to twitch, and flinch, as if she were bracing herself to get a slap. Blinking open her eyes, and gasping, her heart was pounding in her chest at a fast rate, from her fear. What was this place? Yanking forward, she grunted, and let out a muffled cry. Glancing over her shoulder, she was restrained by chains in the wall. And her wrists.. being sliced into, as blood had already began to dry. She must have moved a lot while she was sleeping. A question popped into her mind, and instantly she called out: "Blaze? Blaze!" Her voice was dry, and cracking, but she continued to move. "Where am I?" She called out. After no answer for a while, she slumped down, and let her head fall. "Where am I?" She whispered.

Bayard had slipped into a deep unconsciousness after the brutal beating he'd received. When the noises began of grunting, crying out, and obscured words, he swam in and out between awake and passed out.
But then he heard a distinct voice, crying out for...Blaze? Where did he know what name? Unsure, Bayard cracked open his eyes to the familiar darkness and lifted his head. Even the slightest movements ached. There was someone else here. A presence he seemingly could sense. His eyes had not quite adjusted, but he was sure...the figure opposite to him; it was a figure of an elf. And, for some reason, he had trouble placing a name. His head was so clouded and jumbled, he had a hard time finding the connection between the name 'Blaze' and this elf.
How in the world could I forget something like that? Bayard suddenly realized. It was impossible. How could Ailene have come out this far? And how had they caught her, too?
"Ailene!" Bayard whispered, praying his voice would echo across the room. He had little strength to lift his voice above a whisper, and he dare not, anyway. He didn't want to draw any attention to himself, in case it wasn't Ailene. But it was her. He knew it. "Ailene, it's me. Bayard. Wh--why are you here?"

Ailene moved back towards the wall, and rested her head against the grimy surface. Stretching her legs before her, she didn't seem to be hurt.. jut sore. Very sore. Her eyes didn't want to open, and she felt almost sick. She gave a groan, and her head swung to the side, eyes refusing to open much. Oh my gosh. "Bayard?" It sounded like she couldn't believe it. And quickly, she added: "Jeez, what am I doing here? What are you doing here?" Squinting, she glanced at him up and down. She couldn't really see that well. "..Uh.. I got cornered. By elves. And last thing I knew was I saw the archer.. then I was down." She admitted, letting her head hang again, and not glancing sideways. How could she? She thought he was dead. Something. But now.. they were in an unknown place. No where she'd ever been. And it was scary.

Bayard tried for a weak laugh, but it almost came out as a choke. It took a moment for him to recover and, when he did, his voice sounded scratchy and rough. "Sorta the same with me." He admitted. Though, that technically wasn't true. He hadn't seen anything. Just a bloodstain, a noise, pain, then...nothing.
"I didn't know what happened," Bayard admitted aloud. "I--I wasn't sure if you knew I was gone, or if they'd gotten you, too. It's been...rough." Rough, of all the words to use for a situation like this. Luckily the dark hopefully obscured most of him, because he was certain that he was a mess. Torn up clothes, lash-like marks across his upper body. Yeah. Rough.
Bayard was silent for a moment, biting his lip. This wasn't exactly the type of reunion he'd wanted. It had been bad enough he'd been taken, but now Ailene?
He leaned forward best he could, straining against the cuffs. "...This sucks."

Ailene heaved a sigh, slumping against the wall, as she gave a scoff. "Yeah, rough.. alright." She didn't sound too convinced, but it was better off to leave it. The floor was exceptionally cold, and it slowly started to seep into the backs of her legs, working it's way through even more. One thing was for certain though- her leg had been acting up quite a bit. And it hurt, badly.
Trying to take her mind off of it, she gave a small nod. "Yes.. it truly does suck. I just.. I don't even know if Blaze is safe or not. I left her sleeping.. maybe they tracked her down, I don't know.." She confessed. Ailene didn't feel good at all. Blaze, Bayard, Warrick.. what was happening? Again, she tried to struggle against the chains, and she forced herself forward, which just embedded the cuffs deeper. Pain shot through her hands, and up her body, as she let out a cry. Panting, she leaned against the wall, her face twisted in sheer agony. "What are we going to do?"

Bayard cringed as she let out a cry, and he resisted the urge to try and move forward. But there was nothing he could do. He hated being like this, and seeing Ailene like this.
Despondently, Bayard muttered: "I don't...I don't know. What can we do?" He attempted for a slight jerk at the cuffs but instead received a sharp bite of pain along his lower left side. "It's not like I'm a sorcerer. All the magic I've tried...it just doesn't work here. Like there's been a block or something, and I just feel...weird." Then again, he recalled a lesson when he was very young about drugged food that could cause the magic part of a rider's mind to temporarily fail. Not that Bayard was very strong in magic, but it would probably help now. And, stupidly, he had eaten some of the food here. Was that what was happening to him? Irritated with himself, Bayard clenched his teeth. "Maybe they know where we are. Warrick and Blaze. If not, Akyra and the others. For all we know, they could be right outside." He tried to be hopeful but, despite, he couldn't help but feel a tugging ominous sensation that no one knew where they were. That they would die here. Bayard knew he couldn't take another visit by that woman. He'd either give in, or at some point she'd go too hard and it would kill him. Of course, he couldn't say that aloud to Ailene. But, knowing his luck, she would find out soon, one way or another.

Ailene gave another sigh, closing her eyes, head tilted up towards the celling. "With a place like this, I'm sure there is some sort of block." She replied tentatively, and again, slowly pulled her arms up, trying to cross them over her chest, but that failed. Letting her shoulders sink, she let her hands fall to either side of her. "I hate to drown out all hopes.. but they probably don't know where we are.." It made her flinch that those doubtful words came out of her mouth, but it might have been true. Swinging her head to the side weakly, she pressed the side of her head to the wall, glancing at him up and down. Her eyes had slightly adjusted, and.. "Oh my gosh. What-- what happened to you?! Your arms!" She exclaimed, slowly pulling herself forward, before she knew the end of the chains.

"Don't say that," Bayard immediately hissed at her hopeless remark. When she leaned forward, obviously seeing his marks, he winced a bit and pushed back, covering one of his arms with a hand. That only stung, and he stifled the urge to swear. "It's okay. It just hurts when I touch it." As if to try and prove it was okay, he brushed his hand across his forearm. However, it slightly backfired when Bayard couldn't help but let out a slight gasp of pain. "Uhm...must've happened when they caught me." There didn't seem a lot of point trying to conceal how he'd gotten the wounds, but if it gave Ailene a little hope, then he may as well try. But she wasn't stupid--she'd probably figure out. Especially if it happened to her, too. But Bayard didn't want to think about that, nor did he want it to come to it. "You're hurt, too. How did that happen?" Bayard questioned quickly. Her leg probably, again. It hadn't even healed properly the first time, and this would only make it worse.

Ailene gave a small nod, not pressing any further with the matter. What was the use of fussing if she couldn't do anything? "Alright.." She answered quietly, and moved her head so she didn't have to look at his arms, and flinch. Eyes closed, she could feel terrible. Everything was soaking in. The pain, confusion, love, and everything else that she thought about . Ailene asked herself what actually happened.. why did it all have to happen? Started with the battle.. and being 'forced' to stay.. then the sickness, and Bayard leaving for three years. She just wished she left. But.. what would have happened? She probably wouldn't have a place to stay. Have someone to love, and.. having fun. But now, Ailene doubted if anything would be the same. If they would even survive.. this castle.
In her thoughts, Ailene must have dozed off, because, the door gave a small click, and opened, letting In murky light, dosing the two figures for the first time in a while. Two elves strode in, and from what Ailene saw, they must have been male. One of them spoke in the native tongue to the other, but Ailene wasn't in the right position to reply, or figure out what he said. They had thick accents, that was for sure. Hard to decode. Sounded like a bunch of gibberish. Without noticing, one of the males bent down, and unlocked the cuffs, and they instantly fell off of Ailene's hands. Gasping, she pulled them up, and glanced at them, rubbing her wrists, enough to loosen them up a bit, but.. the cuffs dug in deep.
Grimacing, the elf reached out, and snatched her hands up, pulling Ailene's arms behind her back, with enough force to give her another small cry. He gave a grunt, and pulled her up, shoving her forward, which made her stumble again, until she found her footing, and slowed, along with his walking, but occasionally, she would get a jab in the back if she got too slow. Casting a glance over her shoulder, as far as the elf would allow it, the other one unhooked Bayard, too, and was now doing the same thing, as they entered the dimly lit hall.

Bayard had stayed silent most the time, trying to think. Any sort of plan would probably be useless here, but planning gave him something to do. The cuffs were far too tight to slip out of, but if he could clear his mind of the drugged food, maybe magic would work. That is, if he survived long enough for the sedatives to lose effect.
Then something startled him. The door to their room made a clicking noise and a startling light was let into the space. Elves, of course. He watched as one of them bent over and had unlocked Ailene's restraints. He heard her cry, saw him roughly jerk her to her feet.
A fresh wave of anger washed over Bayard. "Hey!" He growled. But, before he had much time to do anything else, the other elf had already bent over and unhooked himself. There came the relieving feeling of the tightness being loosened, and Bayard almost gasped in the sheer relief. But his ease was short-lived, for the elf had roughly grabbed him by the wrists and jerked him to his feet. An almost nauseating feeling of pain ran up and down his back. The movement, though not much, almost gave him the urge to throw up. And, Bayard couldn't help it, a sharp cry of pain escaped him as the elf's harsh grip had aggravated the lash marks lacing up his forearms. Yet, he had no choice and, almost obediently, he followed Ailene with his head lowered.
It was probably a wild idea, considering how weak he was currently. But Bayard felt desperate, and this seemed to be his only chance. Suddenly whirling on the elf that had taken him, Bayard suddenly jerked forward and smashed his shoulder square into the elf's chest. Then, when he was sure it would knock the elf off-balance, he made a grab for the elf's left wrist.
