Ailene, couldn't do much. Stuck behind a rock, with.. elves surrounding her. She gave a grimace, and another arrow whipped past the top of the rocks. She wouldn't last long. What was there to do? Stay, and have them waste arrows?
That would take forever. Must have been five or so. Only one thought came to her. Face the consequences. Summoning up all of her patchy courage, Ailene breathed heavily. It might be her last.
Glancing out, there were piles of rocks, and she could perhaps roll behind them, before making it towards the archer.. snapping out of her thoughts, Ailene glanced around once more, before lunging forward, and rolling to speed it up. Diving, another arrow shot past, skimming over the top of her shoe, with another zing, until it planted into the ground. Looking at it with fear, she stared at the arrow, before scrambling, and pressing her back against the rock. Two more to go. Sucking in a breath, she rolled again. Safe.
And again. That one.. was risky. Shaking her head, Ailene braced herself to move again, and she did. In a swift run, she skidded towards the rocks, and there was the archer. Peering over with his bow. Ready to lash out with her sword, Ailene felt something slam into her head, and everything became black.
--
Her breathing was shallow, as Ailene slept, but she would continue to twitch, and flinch, as if she were bracing herself to get a slap. Blinking open her eyes, and gasping, her heart was pounding in her chest at a fast rate, from her fear. What was this place? Yanking forward, she grunted, and let out a muffled cry. Glancing over her shoulder, she was restrained by chains in the wall. And her wrists.. being sliced into, as blood had already began to dry. She must have moved a lot while she was sleeping. A question popped into her mind, and instantly she called out: "Blaze? Blaze!" Her voice was dry, and cracking, but she continued to move. "Where am I?" She called out. After no answer for a while, she slumped down, and let her head fall. "Where am I?" She whispered.
