OOC: Bayard can like, drag Jamie back and encounter Akyra partway through. Or Ailene can just find her.
Bayard skidded to a halt, almost slamming into Jamie again. He glanced around them, seeing they were obviously surrounded. A trap.
At his words, he raised an eyebrow but said nothing. Akyra was an elf, and he'd never once had an issue with trust concerning her. But he lifted his only weapon, his stupid stick. Ugh. By now he should start wearing his sword wherever he went. He never knew what troubles he'd get into.
"You're the bounty hunter, here. Why don't you say a little magic spell and get us out of this mess?" Bayard muttered. But his sarcasm was short lived when one of the elves suddenly sprang out at Bayard and, instinctively, Bayard swung his branch. It was sheer luck; the branch struck the elf on the side of the head, creating a huge impact noise. The elf went down, but another one soon took his place. He knew it wasn't long before they got in a lucky strike. Elves were like super humans when it came to physical strength. Their luck would run out sooner or later. And, worse, he would die fighting next to Jamie. Go figure.
The elf swung his sword with surprising speed. Bayard barely dodged it and felt the sword skim his hair, probably giving him an unwanted trim. He hit the dirt and grabbed the rapier of the fallen elf he'd hit before, dropping his stick and holding up the rapier to fend off another strike from the elf who was currently attacking him.

Kirby frowned, but folded his arms and relaxed. Uh...yeah, I guess it is. Not being able to...fly and all. He paused a moment, then spoke again. I suppose you and Akyra are pretty close. Do you know when she's going to be back? Then, he instantly blushed, and was thankful Storm couldn't see him. Ehrm...not that I was...thinking about that.
