At once she stopped glaring, hope fluttering in her chest. She silently tried to ask him what she could do.

Foxstar- Foxstar understood her perfectly. "Well, I know this isn't your favorite task, but the moss in the Elders den needs changing. I am pretty sure we have some extra moss and feathers in the Med. Cat's den. Would you mind doing that?" Foxstar asked gently.

Leafpaw

She nodded, stretched, and waved her tail as "Goodbye." Leafpaw headed toward the medicine den, where Amberpaw was grooming.

Amberpaw

'Hello." Amberpaw greeted, before disappearing into the den. She came out seconds later, jaws stuffed with moss and feathers. "Go crazy." She teased.

Leafpaw

She rolled her eyes, took the moss and feathers, and vanished into the elder's den.

Lightheart:

I laid down outside the warriros den with my head rested on my paws. I glanced around the clearing boredly

Foxstar- After Leafpaw left, Foxstar glanced around the clearing. He saw his Lightheart, them a thought popped into his head. He walked over to the tree limb above his den and called, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Tree Branch for a clan meeting!" He called.

Lightheart:

I yawned and got to my paws. After I shook my pelt I padded under the tree branch and sat down, looking up at foxstar

Foxstar- Foxstar continued. "Since our current Deputy is injured, and is not able to do her duty, I will be appointing a temporary Deputy. I have chosen Lightheart to fill the position." He announced.

My eyes widened in surprise, I felt like I couldn't move. Why had he chosen me? I thought

Foxstar- When Foxstar was done addressing the Clan, he jumped of the tree and walked over to Lightheart. "Could you set up a hunting patrol?" He asked her, then walked into his den.

I was still in disbelief but then I nodded slowly, looking around camp for warriors to be a part of it
