Pigeontail smiled again, and glanced around her den with a flicker of pride in her eyes. "Why, yes. I very much enjoy it." she replied, turning back towards the little kit. "Sometimes it's a little boring, and even scary, but overall it's a good job--and important too." she added, nodding slightly and flicking the tip of her tail.

Heronleap twitched his ear and watched her take a bite, then happily took his own when the mouse was pushed back his way. He swallowed, licking his muzzle, and gazed warmly at her. "You feeling better?" he murmured quietly, settling more comfortably on the ground and straightening up again, his mismatched eyes locking onto the she-cat.

Shadowkit blinked not quite understanding and then hopped up. "That stuff you gave me smells familiar." He said trying to remember where he had been near it before.

She woke up arching her back shaking her fur heading to the prey pile, clamping the cardnial she caught earlier, settling back into the shadows eating silently her claws still out not bothering to retract them.

She let out a soft purring laugh, thinking she'd probably gone too deep into it. As the tom kit spoke she glanced around. "The juniper?" she queried, her eyes fixing quickly on the spot where the berries were kept. "Does it now?" Pigeontail re-situated herself, watching the kit move.

He nodded gladly, and then his gaze widened slightly as she went on. He dropped his gaze for a moment, then returned it to her. "Yeah. I do." he murmured in response, smiling at her in a shyer way than he normally would. Perhaps it had just taken him a bit to realize it. Either way, he was hoping the she-cat would respond better this time.
