GingerStripe pushed ahead only by a little and felt her heart pumping and the thrill in her chest. She felt her paws thud against the ground with each step. She felt her fur tickling her skin as she ran and realized, that this was the first time in a LONG time, that she was happy, and didn't have a care in the world. She let herself relax as she ran, and pulled ahead of NightEcho, "I....feel....ALIVE!" She exclaimed. As she ran she heard the birds chirping and realized that there were sounds in the forest that she had never paid attention to before. The rustling of leaves, the birds eating seeds, the rabbits hopping on the ground as they searched for food. She allowed the slight breeze to make her push faster and faster till she was out of breath and tired. She slowed and waited for NightEcho to catch up. Then, before he could run ahead, or say something, she looked him deep in the eyes and whispered, "I love you."

Honeypaw blushed and pulled herself up.

CrowPaw looked at her. "Lets go to camp and get you dry with some moss." He said helping her towards camp.

Honeypaw nodded, sneezing slightly.

"I think you might have a cold." CrowPaw said. As they reached camp he helped her ly on some moss in the sun. "Let me go get NightEcho." He said. He raced to the medicine den but NightEcho wasnt there so he came back to HoneyPaw. "Hes not there. I could go find him but i dont wanna leave you." He said. "Im sure he will be back soon." He said laying down by her.

Nightecho ran after her as they crossed over the border. He skidded to a stop when he heard what she said. W-what? was all he thought and stood there in confusion and surprise for a moment. He had to admit he did feel something for her but he was a medicine cat. Starclan cant see us here." a small voice said said in the back of his mind. Eventually his look of surprise melted into a caring smile. "I... I love you too..."

GingerStripe smiled and nuzzled him."But your....your a medicine cat." She sighed. "I cant be with you and it breaks my heart." She felt tears coming but held them back.

Honeypaw smiled in the warm sun and nodded slighty. She rested her head on her paws and sneezed again

Nightecho sighed and noticed the borage a few foxlengths away. "WE're outside of clan territory..." He said, "Starclan cant see us out here."
