Maggie let out a wail as she let go of the kits, and turned to the she-cat, fury in her eyes. Drool ebbed from her jaws, as she tensed.

Rainflower

Grateful yet slightly wary of the racoon's help, Rainflower gave a light nip to the dog's nose, before reaching in to grab Chad by the scruff. Backing up quickly with the young kit in her jaws, she eyes the dog cautiously.

Surprised at the cat's boldness, Jade retorted, "This is our home as well, you are not the only creature to live in the forest. The hurricane has created much damage, even you must realize that."

Jade became wary, and backed up slightly. "Why should I, or any of us trust you? You, who would murder a cat whom was trying to rescue one of your own?"

"Who gives you the right to tell us to leave, eh? We were here long before you, and you just wash up on shore and claim it as your home!" Aqua spat angrily.

Maggie was surprised as something landed on top of her, and grabbed the cat by it's neck, shaking it like a ragdoll.

Stardust leaped on the dog's back, sinking her claws into it. "Run!" She ordered Chad and Rainflower, before there was a large crack, and her body landed with a thud.

Rainflower

Setting Chad down, Rainflower motioned for him to go into a small hollow log. "You'll be safe until we drive the dog away," she meowed quickly, before running back over to help Stardust. "Over here, mange-pelt!" Swiping at the dog's leg, she danced out of reach, trying to give Stardust time to get away.
