"It's going to be okay, dad." Shadowpatch mewed, his voice as broken as his trust.

Maplekit dashed out of the nursery, despite Brambleberry's protests. "What's going on?" He asked.

[~Totally Insane~]

Tauntedwhisper ushered Maplekit back into the nursery. "Brambleberry, do you anything about herbs?!" he asked.

Bluetempest went limp from exhaustion, his body weakened from the non-stop retching.

Phoenixstar's body was limp and flimsy. He couldn't move. "Shadowpatch," he rasped before he journeyed to StarClan to loose his life.

Brambleberry's eyes widened. "Uh..." She paused for a second. "If the prey was poisoned, they should throw up. It's a good sign. I don't know much else, though."

"I didn't eat any before they started acting sick." He mewed with wide eyes. What had Phoenixstar wanted to say to him? He kneaded his paws on the ground, waiting for him to return. "Maplekit, go back to the nursery. Your mother might tell you about it later." He didn't want to be questioned by a tiny kit just then.

Tauntedwhisper nodded and rushed out. "They need to throw up the poisoned prey," he reported.

Inktear piped up. "You need yarrow!"

The torbie tom nodded and rushed into the medicine cat den. He knew yarrow, Silentleap the past medicine cat had given it to him when he'd eaten a slimy twoleg thing. He brought some back out, enough for all the cats.

Phoenixstar jerked awake, hacking and spluttering. He'd lost a life. He'd only been back for a few heartbeats when he felt his throat close up and he started spewing blood again.

Bluetempest was shocked. Was Phoenixstar going to loose another life?!

Twistedbranch looked up. Phoenixstar, loosing two lives? Yes!

"No... Dad, you've already lost a life... You have to be okay..." His voice rose pitch perfectly, his paws on his father. "Hold on!"

"Let's get back to camp, I feel a bit tired," she mewed.

Eagleheart nodded, offering his shoulder for support. "I imagine that the kits are getting a bit heavy for you to bear?" He mewed by way of an explanation.
