Shadowpaw shrugged. "I'd kind of like to learn how to fight." he meowed, looking between the other three.

Eagleheart
"Great! Come on. You'll need to know where the borders are once Mistytail starts assigning us to border patrols." he mewed, bounding away out of camp and toward the closest section of border, deliberately keeping the pace fast to see how Inkpaw kept up. He vaguely remembered Dappletail doing the same thing to him his first time out as an apprentice.

Looked at her apprentice, "Is this okay with you?"

Ravenpaw happily touched noses to her new mentor. Her tail waved as she excitedly looked at Shiningpool. "What's first?" She asked.

Shiningpool
Shiningpool smiled. "First, you have to learn some basic herbs. Come on, there are a few you probably already know, but the basics are important." She led the way back to the den to show Ravenpaw the basic herbs.

Dragonpaw nodded, smiling.

Inkpaw bounced are long ungainly legs after his mentor. "Where first?!" he asked excitedly.

(Ugh, 2am. Why am I up?)

"All right then. I'll show you where the training hollow is," she meowed, as she padded out of camp.

Shadowpaw bounded happily after Mistytail. "C'mon, Dragonki- I mean, Dragonpaw!" He mewed, looking around to see where she was relative to him.

Eagleheart
Eagleheart smiled. "To the border!" he called back. "The most important part of the territory, besides camp!" When he reached a border marked he stopped and turned to see where Inkpaw was.

Dragonpaw giggled as she bounced after her mentor.

Inkpaw was only a few pawsteps behind Eagleheart. "Why is the border so important?" he meowed.

"Good question." Eagleheart replied. "It's important because it defines exactly how far we can go from camp, and it is the place you may one day find yourself defending one day. Beyond this line of scent markers, the world can do whatever it likes, but on this side of the markers, this is our territory, and we get to decide what we want to do with it." he explained, no small measure of clan pride in his voice.

Shadowpaw
Shadowpaw shifted to run beside his sister automatically, somewhat uncertain of this strange place he'd only ever seen once before, and then he had been rather dizzy after a thorough clobbering. He looked around, trying to memorize the path to the training hollow, since he figured they'd probably be going there a lot.
