"I'm not sure I can help there." Shiningpool lied, trying not to look uneasy. "It's edging on the forbidden if I try to do that for them. Perhaps a warrior would be willing to fill in, but if absolutely necessary, well, I have had a fair amount of free time recently..." Shiningpool tried not to sound the way she felt- she was aching to spend more time with the kits...

Dreamdust tumbled into the camp, laying her on her back laughing with her legs splayed out. "I did it!"

The worn out leader listened. "Eight would be too many. How about you look after a few of them, and I'll find a warrior to look after the others?" he offered. He hated to split the kits up, but he knew that it was necessary.

"I can start sleeping in the nursery if that will make it easier." Shiningpool suggested, her heart pounding faster. "We wouldn't have to completely split them up."

Eagleheart burst into camp, panting. "Don't forget who won the climbing contest." He panted, nudging her with a small smile.

When Cloudpaw died, she said the things about Eagleheart and her being fun and silly in their apprenticeship. If she really did like me, why only tell about he and her!?
