Shiningpool glanced up gratefully. "If you could lend me a paw with this sorting, that would be wonderful." she meowed, going back to trying to pull berries out from what clearly used to be a pile of nettle leaves, but was now completely mixed up with at least three kinds of berry, not to mention mint and yarrow. I'll probably have to throw most of this out... she thought to herself, slightly disappointed. That meant days, maybe a season, of searching for fresh stock. Wonderful.

She smiled and took a bite. "That is one good rabbit!" she meowed happily.

"G-great!" Monsterclaw sat down, a little annoyed that he was so big. He very gently plucked berries out of leaves and flowers. "Looks like a storm went through here," he remarked.

Shiningpool sighed. "A kit, actually." she murmured, freeing a couple of bedraggled-looking berries from a particularly spiny leaf. "An incredibly boisterous kit, thank starclan he wasn't hungry."

Eaglepaw took a bite himself and mumbled something incomprehensible in agreement.

She smiled at him as she ate the rabbit, grinning with at the juicy warm meat filling her stomach. Once she ate about half of it she stepped back and smiled.

Eaglepaw hungrily finished his share and sat back, licking his lips and smiling contentedly. "This is really comfortable." he said, laying down on his back and staring up at the sky, his eyes half-lidded and a drowsy smile on his face.

Monsterclaw chuckled. "That was lucky then!" He cast his gaze over the supplies, trying not to let himself stare at the medicine cat. "It looks like you'll need a lot of new stock though."

She lay herself next to him and smiled, "Agreed to-be best warrior friend."

Shiningpool nodded. "I'll try to save what I can, but it looks like he was really into playing medicine cat." she gestured at a puddle of completely pulverized berries. "He was trying to make his own poultice." she chuckled gently. "So, yes, I'll be going out a lot to get fresh herbs, mostly berries, in the next season." She felt like Monsterclaw seemed somehow uncomfortable, but then again, he had come in to offer to help. She was probably imagining it.
