Shadow is a 6 month old Night Fury. He's a dark grey that looks like black, and his eyes are the color of spring meadows. His ears are unusually big, and his wings are also pretty big. He has a kind warming heart, and usually is up for anything fun. He acts just like any other kid would, adventurous, mischievous, and full of energy. He hasn't quite mastered the power of shooting fire out of his mouth, but he believes he'll get there some day. Shadow only flies a little ways off the ground and has never gone high enough. He is scared of bigger dragons than him, and usually is shy and maybe a bit scared in first approach. Shadow was born in a cave in the forest, his father had gone off to find better shelter than in the forest next to the humans. A little boy was exploring the woods when he saw the Nightfurys. He took off running, scared of Shadow and his mother. A few days later, their father had not yet returned from his quest, leaving his mother and Shadow worried sick. The humans planned a raid on the two dragons, and to kill his mother and to keep Shadow for observations. Instead, he ran off into the forest, as they were killing his mother, he heard her last words as he slipped away," Go young one, find a place where you can live happily, and don't have to hide in the shadows. " Shadow explored the human's place very lowly trying to find a place where he could hide for the night. Being his young adventurous self, he aboarded a ship that was going out to sea, but little did he know he was on the waters. He climbed in a crate, and rested for the night there. After he was on the ship for a while, one of the crewmen shut the lid with Shadow inside it. A few days past, and Shadow was getting weaker without food or water. The ship was caught in a terrible storm, causing the crate to fall out into the sea. Luckily, the crate was water tight, so a while later he washed up on the shore of the island, doing what his mother had told him, except he didn't know it yet. His mother's words rang in his ears," Go young one, find a place where you can live happily, and don't have to hide in the shadows..."
