Have you ever wondered where the night fury's came from? Or why there Was only one known to exist? Well,if you listen to my story,I will tell you.
It started a long time ago,in a raging battle of dragons against humans.As The battle went on,The humans kept coming,Getting strangely stronger each time one of them Was killed.Eventually,The dragons had no choice but to flee from The fight,far away as The humans had overpowered them.As they flew towards The mist covering their island,they found it had been destroyed by The what seemed endless battle against The humans.There Was only water as far as The eye could see.They panicked for a few moment,and then they all separated.
Now,you are probably wondering what happened to The humans Who won The battle,correct? No? I will tell you anyway,because this is The interesting part.
Once all The dragons had fled from The battle,The humans cheered happily along themselves,though The place Where The fight had taken place Was utterly destroyed,and some of The houses Where still alight with fire,well,what Was left of them Was.As thunder boomed out It's sound and lightning struck through The sky,The stench of blood Was fresh in The air and,as if out of no Where,a figure appeared,just as The lightning hit The sky again,making a much larger crash and light than it should've done.Do you know what that figure Was? Well,if you remember that saying about The night fury,I think you could guess.No? I'll remind you then;
"The offspring of lightning and death its self"
Remember now? Good. So,as The figure approached The cheering humans and The light from The lightning faded,you could make out The details on its body.It Was obviously not a human,I can tell you that,for it had wings and a tail,it also had scales and spikes allong its spine.The scales Where black as The starless night sky,and those large eyes Where a deep Ocean blue,a perfect match for The black that coated The creature's body.
Have you figured out what this creature Was yet? Yes,it Was indeed a night fury.The humans had quietened themselves at this time,and Where all staring at The beast Who had disturbed their celebration.The dragon let out a roar that almost scraped The skin off your bones.All The humans ran,and the dragon proudly sat down to claim The land he had Chosen to live on.More of his kind appeared Behind him,all of them sitting down as if to say that no one shall pass onto this land that Was now theirs.As more of this rare breed came to The island,The population increased,but The isle still unknown to The generations of humans on The scattered islands that surrounded this large piece of land.
More and more of them came to The island,but only one came with a saddle.I bet you think it Was Toothless,don't you? But no,it wasn't.No one Actually knows what he was called,they simply Accepted him Like everyone else.
