Koitail could only watch with horror. Her deputy was slowly dying.

"Stop Redstorm. You are wasting your herbs." She said sternly but slowly wasting away. "I will watch you from StarClan but there is nothing you can do." Windstream shut her eyes tight.

Redstorm finally stepped away from the deputy, his ears flattening as he backed away to sort away shuffled herbs. Swallowing as if there was a lump in his throat. "I can't believe this.." He swept his tail over the den floor.

"Goodbye." She said taking her last breath. "Loudpaw, train hard and keep trying." She told her apprentice.

Nightpaw bowed his head, letting out a tiny cry. This was the first cat that had died on him- and he didn't want it to be like this.

"Windstream..." Koitail whispered, her eyes huge and sad. But she couldn't hear her. Windstream was dead. Koitail walked out of the den, and fell to her knees, letting out a pitiful wail.

Rose looked in horror as the cat died, "I'm sorry." She murmured to the dying shecat. Her wiped the blood from her shoulder, revealing a long cut, wincing Rose licked her wound.
