Nyx took a step into the forest, taking everything in. The moss felt cool underfoot, much better than the grass she was used to. She turned to look back, even though she was sure she would be back by sunset. It would on,y be a short trip, she could talk to Duskpaw, and then be back home. She flicked her tail, and continued walking.

Suddenly she was silent, she inched back to the tree. Her huge bat-like ears scanned around her. She strightened her shoulders, her very long legs stretched. She ran her tongue over her teeth as she caught a slight glimpse of a cat nearby.
