They both went this morning in that direction... " He pointed a wing towards Pure one territory( are they still called that?) " And haven't come back!"
Echo: I let my feathers droop when I realize where they had gone, and probably what had happened. My allegiance didn't care for trespassers. I look down at the little owlet and smile best I could. "Do you have a hollow where you live?"
"Over here." He hopped up a bit to a hole on the big tree. Inside was a nest and remains of prey. "I am the only chick they have."
Raven shuttered as she remembered that day. Her parents battling fiercely to stop them, seeing them drop down, down, and then the evil ones grabbing her sister when they took off and she fell into the talons of the Pure Ones and Raven had never seen her again.
Echo: I felt my heart crack slightly as I noted the worry in his voice. I knew his parents wouldn't be back, but I didn't want to say so directly. So I searched for a reason why he should come back to my hollow. As odd as it was I was probably the only owl with the Dark Ones to have a soft spot for owlets. "It is a very cozy looking nest." I comment.

(Oteti does too @Hidden! He was kidnapped as a year old owl)

He fluffed his feathers importantly and chirped " I started to brach just the other day from that branch!" He pointed to the brach he had been sitting on
Echo: I swoop down between the branches, and land on the branch he would land on next. I hold out a wing to steady him when he landed and smiled. "Do want some tips?" I ask, stretching my wings and tail feathers.
