I shake my head and click my beak. "Truthfully, I'm surprised she is still alive....." I trail off and waggle a wing.

Sano shock her head slightly,"I don't have parents. And I don't want any either." She said to him.

(Sure, his parents can be killed by a dark owl as they are coming home, and Echo can find him)

"Where are mom and dad? They should be back by now!" The little owlet chirped as he hopped out onto a branch and watched for them

Oteti stared at her, than nodded, although he really didn't understand. "You're fostered, then... Do you live with other owlets?"

Echo:
I hover over the bleak landscape, and spot a little ball of fluff on a branch a little ways under me. And it didn't look like it's parents were anywhere nearby. But then I really didn't feel like being attacked if they were. But curiosity drew me closer nonetheless. I call out to it, in the deep tones of a barred owl and in a friendly way.

"Who's there? Mom? Dad? Is that you?" The little owl hooted to Echo and turned to see her better. "You're not my parents! Have you seen them? They have been gone all day and haven't come back!"

I flinch, getting an idea what happened to it's parents if they were gone for so long. I land on the branch above him and fold my wings carefully. I let my scarred eye be hidden in the shadows so he wouldn't be frightened. "I have not seen your parents little one. How long ago did they leave?"
