I nodded slightly, picking up the temperature on the wind. I sigh, flicking my tail slightly. "Featherpaw, what does it look like? Right now? What do you look like?" I moved my blind eyes towards her scent, opening them for the first time in a while.

I shift my paws awkwardly as I find how to describe the setting. "Well, the leaves are drifting downward slowly, and the sky is cloudy right now, but when the sun shines, bits of warmth and light filter through the trees. It's pretty warm right now, and it looks like it's about to rain, and you can just pick up the scent of leaf-bare on the wind, with the dryness and all. And what do I look like? Well, I'm a gray tabby like you, I guess, with darker blue eyes though. So we look pretty similar. And I'm sorry you probably don't know what we look like, and what it all looks like, but I guess what's important is that we're standing here, alive, and we will always know that StarClan is watching." I quickly shut my mouth again, aware that I had spoken too much. Idiot! I scolded myself, Now you've done it. Everyone will think you're weird now.

I cringe at the last one, anger sparking in me. She has no idea. She has NO IDEA! I kept myself from tackling her there and then with the realization that I wasn't really mad at her, I was mad at life. I stood up, took two shuddering breaths, and sat back down again. "Thank you." I said tensely but earnestly. "I actually know what color is, since I was blinded after birth. It's just vague memory and I really can't make it a picture..." I shuddered, my mind going to the time. I shook my head crossly, at myself. "By the way... I can smell leaf-bare, actually, I can smell how hot it is. I guess my nose is just really keen since my eyesig.." My voice cracked and my tail stopped twitching. I blinked quickly a couple of times, cursing at myself.
