Shade looked up at the highrock, spotting the deputy. Perhaps he's about to call a meeting.

Birchfall saw Shade. He smiled

Shade flicked his tail before wrapping it around his paws. He sat quietly and breathed in the fresh air. He knew the clan cats didn't want him running around camp, or roaming through their territory, so he just stared out into the woods, imagining being there. The forest air was crisp, and the wind shone strongly. The ferns swayed side to side like waves lapping at the side of the lake. Shade opened up his jaws, tasting the air. As soon as he traced down the scent of a mouse, he chased it. The mouse was soon trapped under his paws, and he leaned down over it to bite its neck as a finishing move. He took a bite of his fresh-kill, still warm. Shade woke up. He suddenly realized that he had been asleep. His mouth was watering.
