Sitting down by him she looked in her mates eyes, her deep green eyes filled with both fear and joy. "We are having kits" She said, a cautious smile on her face.

"That's great," Crowfeather mewed, a spark of joy in his dark eyes.

Leafpool smiled glad he was as happy as she. "What will everyone say?" She wondered out loud.

"Well, you won't have to go to the nursery for another moon, so you should be able to finish your training, if you're lucky," Crowfeather mewed, unusually happy.

Ashfoot watched her grandson with weary eyes as she waited for Onestar.

"I hope so" Leafpool said softly "I would love to show everyone what I can do, then these kits will be welcomed." She said looking at her mates happy face.

"Maybe Whitetail can finish your training early," Crowfeather purred.

"We could ask" Leafpool purred back, rubbing her side against her mates fur. Licking his ear then her chest she smiled. "You me and these kits will be together, always" She said, her smile growing.

Crowfeather nodded. "I want to name one Eaglekit," he mewed, thinking of his only littermate.

"I love that name" Leafpool said softly, not knowing the reasoning behind the name.
