Dusk's tail was now slowly swaying, his fur softly brushed by the breeze. Firefeather's comment surprised him, but he could relate to it... sort of. "But surely there are cats you can talk to, right? You had that she-cat you had an eye on if I remember correctly." He replied. "but why come to me? We haven't spoken after I met you, why come to the weird new loner then?" He said with a calm voice.

She sat and watched the water with a sigh. She wanted another mate, but didn't know if she was ready for another one. She let out another sigh. I guess I'm cursed with the inability to have a mate. She thought to herself as she watched the water flow and ripple.

"Well , Russetstar doesn't like me anymore ." Firefeather sighed , knowing that a long time ago . "I just want to leave the clan and , well , become a loner like you . And , you're not weird . I know that you're not weird . I know that ."

Dusk listened to the cat, trying to understand his point but he couldn't really relate with his reason to leave, love was overrated, he had realised that the past while. "You still have your other clanmates, you had another cat you liked right? The one you told Russetstar about, that you liked that cat. She liked you too if I heard correctly" He replied. " But if you really wanted to leave a perfectly fine clan, I'm not gonna stop ya. "

"Never mind ," he said and padded away to the lake and thought he scented a scent he always knew . Russetstar ? "Russetstar ? If you're there just listen to what I got to say . I am leaving this clan and not coming back." His voice shook as he said the last nine words . Then he ran in full speed into the unknown forest , enjoying the wind in his fur .

He listened in shock before Firefeath ran off. "Wait." She called after him. She wanted to race after him, but knew he wanted to be alone. She stood outside the camp looking to the forest, feeling her heart drop. "Why should I care." She muttered to herself. "He hurt me first." She added wth a sigh before padding into camp, padding to the nursery, wanting to see her daughter.

She looked up to the nursery enterance to see her mother. "What's wrong?" She asked but Russetstar shook her head in reply. Instead she padded over to her and the kits. "They look healthy." Russetstar commented. She smiled and stole a glance at her kits. "Yea. They are." She added, looking back at her mother.

She gave a sigh before padding into camp. She decided to announce Firefeather leaving for good and called a clan meeting. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather here for a clan meeting."
