Rosamund smiled, relieved he was getting better. "Good." She murmured softly.

Chilili blinked. "Oh um sorry, I didn't know your blind."

"Don't say the word," Brackenblaze growled at Chilili, "Sorry, not in a good mood," he sighed after changing his tone.

Doe frowned. "Please? We can't find them alone."

"Find who?" Splashpool stood a bit away.

Embearheart bristled uneasily.

"Better now that I'm with you." Rosamund purred happily.

Chilili flicked her ears back at his tone. "Uh it's okay. I-if you don't mind my asking how'd it happen? Were you born like that?" Faint curiousity edged her voice.

Brackenblaze leaned over to her and whispered, "She's not a threat, I felt the tension in the air, I could tell you bristled," he finished, also in a whisper. "It's just fine," he meowed politely," I was born like this."

Thundercloud dipped his head to Splashpool, "Greetings Splashpool, and actually, for you," he meowed, "Have you seen Brightcloud?"

Milkflower choked out a grateful purr and wiped her mate's tears in return.

"Ohhh." It all made sense to Beetlefrost now. "Good one, Flamepaw!"

"Yeah, you got us good." Woodpaw looked a bit discouraged at having not been able to guess correctly, but he was smiling all the same.

Kestrelstar left the den after only a few minutes. "Ivycloud?" He searched for his mate.

"That was StarClan's decision, not mine." Timberfoot nuzzled her. "But either way, I'm glad you're still here."

Jad's fur was standing on end as he crept after Doe. He yelped when Thundercloud approached them and huddled up behind his friends. "Dooooooeeee," he whined. "I want to go hoooooome!"

"Yes," said Maggotpaw.

Lilypad appeared behind Splashpool. "What's going on?"
