Timberfoot's eyes clouded with sadness. "Yeah. I do too." He hung his head in shame. She left because of me.

Timberfoot flinched when she nuzzled him, but his muscles relaxed a minute later. "T-thank you," he whispered. "And I'll be here for you, too."

"I just like to say 'Fallow.' " Weaselpaw flailed his free paw in her face.

"Cool, cool. A'right, my turn!" Woodpaw scratched at an itch while he thought. "Uhh...I'm silver an' hard an' kinda smelly too."

Wolfflight dragged a banana peel out of the can and set it atop Foxcloud's hat. "How 'bout that?" he chuckled.

"Raccoonkit is perfect," Batfang agreed, grinning from ear to ear. "And this one..." He eyed the little gray she-kit that looked so much like his deceased sister, Stonekit, and felt tears spring to his eyes. "Her name will be Stonekit."

"It's not your fault!" Barkbreeze exclaimed quickly, feeling desperate to keep him cheerful. "She left because of me! If I hadn't fallen in love with you and almost died, then maybe she would still be here!" Barkbreeze looked at her paws.
