Weaselkit squeezed into the hole and wormed his way through a long, winding tunnel before he caught a glimpse of sunlight and a hint of green. "There! It's the forest!" he exclaimed.

Flykit kept on his heels. "Wow! It's so...green!"

[Cradily]

"I know!" Weaselkit bounded out of the tunnel and into the forest. "And so big!" he breathed.

[C a s]

"Yes!" Flykit agreed. "We could hunt!"

[ShizukaMi]

"Sure. Yeah. It's great." Timberfoot's voice was dry and hollow. The light that had once resided in his bright amber eyes was no where to be seen. I'll bet Foxcloud would have liked this place. He felt tears spring to his eyes and looked away so that Barkbreeze wouldn't see.

Barkbreeze saw the swift movement of Timberfoot's head. "What's wrong? Did I upset you? I'm sorry!" she meowed, feeling panicked and guilty.

[Cradily]

"Yeah!" Weaselkit was grinning from ear to ear. He ran past the trees on the hunt for prey.

"No." Timberfoot sniffed once, but he was managed to keep his voice from cracking with sadness. "No, you're fine."

[C a s]

"Bird!" Flykit yowled.

[Cradily]

Sure enough, when Weaselkit looked up, there was a bird. "That's neat!" he yipped. "Let's catch it!"

"Ok!" Flykit latched onto the trunk of a tree.

Barkbreeze just looked at him in worry. "Are you sure?! Anything I can get you?! A drink of water?" she said, pacing.
