"Okaaaay," Flykit jumped to his paws.

"What should we plaaaay?" Weaselkit asked through his giggles.

"Not mooooossbaaaaall!" Flykit groaned.

[Cradily]

"I wasn't going to say moooossbaaaall!" Weaselkit whined back. "Uhhh...Follow meeee!" He marched to the very back of the nursery.

"I've been following you the whole time," Timberfoot snorted. He stood next to Barkbreeze and gazed at the shimmering pool in silence.

"Isn't it breathtaking?" Barkbreeze said, her eyes twinkling in happiness.

[Cradily]

"Sure. Yeah. It's great." Timberfoot's voice was dry and hollow. The light that had once resided in his bright amber eyes was no where to be seen. I'll bet Foxcloud would have liked this place. He felt tears spring to his eyes and looked away so that Barkbreeze wouldn't see.

Flykit skipped after him.

Weaselkit stopped at a tiny hole in the corner of the nursery. "We can sneak through here and go on an adventure!" he whispered to Flykit. His eyes glittered with excitement.
