Blackcry climbed to the top of highrock and waited outside of his leader’s den. Before he could say a word he felt a couple droplets of rain on his fur. His bright blue eyes glanced up at the sky and he examined the clouds that loomed overhead. “Rain?” he thought, “Hopefully it won’t rain too hard.”

“Brownstar?” he called and the Maple Clan leader allowed him inside. “What is it?” the chestnut colored tom asked when Blackcry settled down. “While Gingershade and I were on patrol we came upon a loner,” Blackcry told him and the leader’s whiskers twitched. “A loner? What happened?” Brownstar asked. “The loner was only a kit. I decided that the best thing we could do was bring him here.”

[Be careful on the trip to Spirit-pool. It's going to rain so Storm Lake may start flooding a bit. ;3]

Leopardblaze nodded, then understood why when a black-furred tom leading a patrol found them. Leopardblaze almost unsheathed his claws, ready to protect Sheepbelly. When Sheepbelly handled the situation very calmly, Leopardblaze's fur laid flat. He trotted behind Sheepbelly, glancing around now and then. Leopardblaze almost jumped out of his fur as a raindrop landed right on his nose. "What if Storm Lake floods?" Leopardblaze asked like an apprentice.

As he walked, he flicked his ears back to listen to the cat speak. He felt the rain drops fall quicker onto his nose. "If it floods...Do you know how to swim?" he asked with a mischievous smile. "I will not be turning away no matter what comes in my way. " he said, as they approached the Thunderpath. He stood there for a moment, before bolting across, and landing on the other side with a huff. "You ready?" he examined the thunderpath. "...Go! Now!" he yowled.

"Not really," Leopardblaze replied. He had been in the water before, but he didn't really know how to swim. As they got to the thunderpath, a rotting stench lingered into his mouth. Watching the medicine cat bolt across the thunderpath, Leopardblaze thought, That old cat can still run! He snapped back into reality as he realized Sheepbelly had signaled him to go. He took one swift leap and ran across the path of stench. Fear flooded his eyes as a monster nearly hit him. Panting, he reached the other side.

Sheepbelly rested his tail tip on the young Tom's shoulder. "Focus boy, or you'll get yourself killed. We are not in Mapleclan territory anymore. Anything can happen." he said as he headed towards stormlake, the water downpouring at this point, drenching his fur. "Just focus" He encouraged.

Leoaprdblaze nodded, "Sorry, I get a little carried off sometimes." He blinked as a raindrop fell near his eye. "The water in Storm Lake is getting awfully high. Let's hurry," he suggested, casting a quick glance at the lake. Besides, the rain was pouring, he didn't like rain when it was like this.

The medicine gave a hiff as the water splashed in his eyes. He shook the droplets away. As his eyes refocused, he gasped. Storm lake was already flooding! The river that connected with it overflowed as well. "We are too late, the lake is flooding. We'll have to find a path to take over it. Start looking!" He instructed, as he walled to the edge if the water and carefully scanned his surroundings for anything useful.

Rainpaw coughed to the side, raising an eyebrow. He was about the age of an apprentice, from what she could tell- and not belonging to a clan, "Eh.... Gingershade? Please explain," Then, she looked over at the loner with a smile. "Thank you for your answer.... May I know your name? The more you tell me will make it easier for us to help you."

"Blackcry and I found him eating prey. So, Blackcry took him back here," Gingershade explained. It wasn't the best explanation, but it was all she could remember. "Don't have a name," the over-grown kit mewed with his lack of grammar. "Want one," he added quickly. He supposed that he should tell the nice she-cat about his past, so it would help more. "One day, remember opening eyes, mother no there. In a tree, very high up. Didn't know get down, was there for.. one sunrises. Then jumped down and hurt. Learned how hunt and defend me," he finished. The kit was oblivious to Gingershade's questioning glance.
