Katie felt sort of, well, sad. She didn't want to admit to the others what was happening so right as lunch ended and everyone was moving about, she whispered to Deston, "Meet me at, uh, the school parking lot... At 4:30!"

She overheard Katie whisper to Deston. Why? What's going on? she wanted to ask Katie, but the words died on her lips. She sighed, also feeling a bit down. She looked over to the queue for the school cafeteria, and all the happy people chatting away, waiting patiently for their ordered burgers or salads or chips.
She planned to spy on the pair when they met up in the parking lot. 4:30. I've got it.

It's 4:00 in the afternoon. In 30 minutes, Dez will meet Katie at the school. Harmony and Marianna are following, but Dez and Katie don't know. Can Harmony and Mari stay hidden? What will Katie tell Dez? How will Harmony, who likes Dez also, respond?

She wore black clothes. Black from head to toe. Black flats, black tights, black shirt, jumper, and even a beanie and a ninja mask. She sneaked into the parking lot where Dez and Katie were presumably meeting. Mari hid behind a dumpster. She waved her paw in front of her nose, but it didn't help so she just held it, and waited for Harmony to come. She texted her.
