Firefly felt a bruise begin to form, the fur where he had made contact throbbed in pain but he ignored it. Firefly slithered underneath his mentor before giving a hard kick with his strong hind legs.

Again, the breath was forced out of him, but Thorin recovered after a few seconds. He shrugged off the pain in his gut and bit Firefly's shoulder.
