Scarletpaw felt mousebrained in a second. No wonder Birdpaw felt so flustered. His mentor was sick, like her. "Swiftbreeze is getting better by the day." She tried to remind the apprentice.

BirdPaw mumbled in annoyance to himself. "I don't like it though. I mean it's so boring when no one will take me out of camp!" The apprentice sighed softly, licking his chest for a moment before sighing. "Not like anything fun happens here any ways..."

"Why don't you ask someone then?" Scarletpaw meowed, her pelt prickling with the guilt that seemed to consume her more and more. Perhaps if she hadn't been sick she and Birdpaw could go out together.

BirdPaw shook his head, resting his chin on his paws. "All the warriors are busy with their own apprentices." He muttered softly before sitting back up and licking his shoulder. "It's boring here ScarletPaw! How do you STAND it?"

"But what about us? It's impossible for us to train together, now!" Stripedkit meowed, upset.

"Plus, Crowstar may have already have told her." Tigerfang meowed.

"I can't!" Scarletpaw finally said, but it was more of a growl. "I'm sick, and I'm stuck in camp here with Hazelpaw! At least you can leave without getting your pelt clawed!" Her temper had finally flared back up, leaving her angry and distressed.

BrightPaw looked down at his paws after she snapped before meowing. "I'm sorry ScarletPaw, I didn't think of it like that." The apprentice stood up.

"But it will still be different!" Stripedkit argued. She had always wanted to train with her sister- but now it was evident she wouldn't.

Scarletpaw let out a flustered sigh,"I can see. I bet you want to go, so I won't blame you."
